Sundowner Fridays at Saffron Grange

Kick-start your weekend the right way with a Friday Sundowner at Saffron Grange.

After overwhelmingly positive feedback, we are thrilled to announce ‘Sundowners at Saffron Grange‘ are back again this summer! We will be open on Friday evenings from Friday 1st May, all the way up until Friday 28th August. Come down with your friends and family, sip on award-winning English sparkling wine and feast on delicious, local street food. Spread out on picnic blankets or relax in our marquee – bring your own chairs if you like then watch the sun dip down behind the vines with a glass of fizz in your hand – the perfect end to the week.

Some nights are exceptionally busy, so early arrival is recommended. Please pre-order your food with the relevant food truck to avoid disappointment. Pre-orders normally open during the week of the event.

Food Trucks

Each Friday evening features a rotating line-up of top local, delicious food trucks. Plan ahead and pre-order your meal (find the links below or pre-order directly with the food truck).

Bonnefire Box: Delicious sourdough pizzas on 1 May, 15 May, 5 Jun, 3 Jul, 10 Jul, 21 Aug.
Elder Street Proper Dogs: Proper hot dogs on 8 May, 12 Jun, 17 Jul, 14 Aug, 28 Aug.
Nomadough: Sourdough flatbreads on 22 May, 19 Jun, 24 Jul.
Steak & Honour: American-style burgers on 29 May, 26 Jun, 31 Jul, 7 Aug.

DJ Tom Root will be also be here on the decks on select evenings, providing the perfect soundtrack for your Friday evening.

*All food and drink must be purchased on-site to support our vendors.

Please note: due to the nature of these events, we are not able to offer table reservations on Friday evenings of Sundays but there is plenty of space.

Plan Your Visit

Timing: It gets busy so please be sure to arrive early to grab the best spot. Food is usually served from 5pm – 8pm (depending on the truck). The bar closes at 9pm.
Pre-order: Links to each food truck’s pre-order page are available below. Menus usually go live around a week in advance and though pre-ordering isn’t essential it helps you avoid queueing and guarantees you get to try what you want.
Seating: We have some outdoor picnic tables and marquee seating, but feel free to bring a picnic blanket or foldable chairs for comfort – there’s plenty of space.
Parking: On-site parking is free but limited. Car-share, walk or cycle if you can. (If you do leave a car overnight, please note it’s at your own risk.)
Children: Children must be supervised at all times – we are a working vineyard and there are hazards including uneven ground, stinging nettles, and machinery / equipment on-site.
Four-Legged Friends: Well-behaved dogs on short leads are very welcome. Please pick-up after them!
On-site Purchases: To support the local food trucks and our family-run vineyard, please enjoy only food and drinks bought here.
Weather: These are outdoor events. In case of bad weather we may cancel for safety – check our social media on the day for updates.
