Harvest 2024

Volunteer grape pickers registration for Harvest 2024

Description

Once again we are calling volunteers to come and help us carefully hand-pick and bring in our precious grapes which will go onto make up our 2024 Sparkling Wines. As always our picking schedule can change at a moment’s notice due to the speed of ripening and weather conditions so we really appreciate your understanding with this.

Please follow the link here to register your interest for a maximum of 2 dates per person to allow everyone to have the opportunity to pick and we will then confirm to you via email if your chosen picking date(s) is going ahead and whether you’re booked in. If we don’t end up picking on those dates we hope to offer you an alternative date but we cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice. Please note spaces are offered on a first-come, first-served basis.

What to wear / bring with you

We provide the majority of the equipment you need for the day (along with
training) but please consider bringing or wearing the following:

• Waterproof shoes / wellies
• Waterproof coat and possibly trousers
• Layers
• Water bottle
• Smiles!

Order of the Day (Subject to Change)

08:00 – 08:30: Teas / Coffees
08:30 – 08:45: Briefing by Vineyard Team – please arrive promptly to avoid a delayed start
09:00 – 11:00: Picking Session #1
11:00 – 11:30: Tea / Coffee break
11:30 – 14:00: Picking Session #2
14:00 – 15:00: Lunch and a well-earned glass of fizz

You will receive a full briefing on what to do in the morning and there will be plenty of support on the day, so if you’re unsure about anything, please don’t be afraid to ask a member of staff for help.

Dietary Requirements

We will provide lunch for you on the day of your pick. We regret that as a small business, we are unable to cater for all individual dietary requirements at the moment, but we will always do our best. Please provide us with any details of dietary requirements and in particular any food allergies by emailing: harvest@saffrongrange.com. We can then let you know whether we can or can’t cater for this.

Any other business

We regret that we are unable to cater for any children under the age of 16 at the moment for health and safety reasons.

We allow well-behaved dogs on leads at harvest but please do make sure you pick up after them and that they remain on the lead at all times.

We are really looking forward to welcoming you to the vineyard for Harvest 2024!
Thank you once again for your help in advance.
